Mockery

With patience wearing thin

And remnants of sanity blowing in the wind

I struggle to grip a piece of peace

Engulfed in a fire that will not cease

The fog envelopes my soul

I don’t see clearly anymore

Though to release rage, the ultimate goal

Rain floods my ducts and down it pours

Such a mockery of tears I make

For sadness do not they imitate

but madness, anxiety and rage

With an ill-fated pen I bleed onto the page

Such a mockery of love I make

Without true love held for myself

Tainted in the wake of hate

Eclipsed vision and weary health

With patience wearing thin

and remnants of sanity blowing in the wind

I struggle to grip a piece of peace

Engulfed in a fire of mockery
